Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 3, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Akara (“Akara,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you visit our website, join our waitlist, or contact us (collectively, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide. When you join our waitlist or submit a contact or application form, we collect the information you enter—such as your email address, name, trading-experience selection, and any message content.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting and infrastructure providers may automatically log technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device information, referring pages, and timestamps. This is used for security, abuse prevention, and basic analytics.

2. How we use your information

  • To add you to our waitlist and notify you when access opens.
  • To respond to your inquiries and applications.
  • To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Service.
  • To send you product updates or communications you have requested (you can opt out at any time).
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Legal bases for processing (EEA/UK)

If you are in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, we process your personal data on the basis of your consent (e.g., joining the waitlist), our legitimate interests (operating and securing the Service), and to take steps at your request prior to entering into a contract.

4. How we share information

We share personal information only with service providers who help us operate the Service, under agreements that require them to protect it. These currently include:

  • Hosting & form handling (e.g., Netlify) to serve the website and process form submissions.
  • Email/communication tools used to reach you.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

5. Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described above, or as required by law. Waitlist and contact records are retained until you ask us to delete them or they are no longer needed.

6. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted transport (HTTPS). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. California residents (CCPA/CPRA) may request disclosure or deletion of personal information and are entitled not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising these rights.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond as required by applicable law.

8. International data transfers

We operate primarily online and may process your information in countries other than the one where you live. Where required by law, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for cross-border transfers.

9. Children

The Service is not directed to individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Cookies & analytics

We use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics) to understand aggregate site traffic. It does not set cookies, does not track you across other websites, and does not collect information that identifies you personally. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If we ever introduce cookies or technologies that require consent, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where required.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version here and update the “Last updated” date. Material changes may be communicated by additional notice.
